GAME CANCELLED

Thursday 6 July versus Withnell CANCELLED.

Match Report v FC Audley

Date: 30th June

Dezcom QPT vs FC Audley
Result: 2-2

Match Report by YASIN (a current legend!)

We started off well with some neat Passing and Moving, FC Audley blatantly bringing us down. The one that sticks to my head is when their goalie(Eamam) brings Iby down just ouside the box, This foul which i think was ared card offence the keeper didn't even get a blue card. We carry on passing the ball well when Ishy Chotia gets a chance wide on the lefthand side. A leftfoot shot which goes across the FC Audley Goalie suprises him (not us coz we know Ishy can score from anywhere) great finish.

FC Audley try to create chances but we just see the ball out. Then up pops Ishy Chotia with a second goal, when Iby intercepts a pass puts Ishy through and Ishy Chotia this time finishes it with his right foot. Ishy has another chance to put the game out of reach but he puts it over the bar the easiest chance of the three but unlucky. Husky Lambat comes of injured (winded) for Ishy Wadee a straight swap.

There we are cruising and from out of nowhere little Mulla is all on his own on the left he shoots on front post which hits Yasir and goes in. I don't like pointing fingers but He was Amins Man, after that they hit the bar and post and we were lucky to go into half time 2-1 up. We started ok in the second half having shots on their goalie (Eamam) who was parrying them out for corners. Then an unsual mistake from Amin who gives the Balll to Goggy (zuber) who burst through takes a shot on goal which Yasir blocks falls to little Mulla ( He reminds me of Bookworm) who pokes into the empty net. I think Usama could have blocked it if he followed him, but thats being harsh.

After they scored the grew in confidence going for a 3rd goal which prompted them to hit the bar and post twice (Nadat & Little Mulla). We Also thought we could get a 3rd goal as we pushed forward leaving gaps at the back they have another chance which Usama clears off the line. Little mulla also has another chance but takes an airshot instead.

Soon on comes Mo Ali to liven it up as he does by creating a chance on his own by tackling one of the Fc Audley defenders but was unlucky not too score. Fayaz comes on for Ishy wadee who played well, immediately he gets into a position to put the ball across the box, but he chooses to shoot and ball goes over. Mo Ali has a great chance to score a 3rd goal but misses the ball completely, after that both temas have a few chances but the game just dies out with the ref blowing the whistle

Overall we played well going 2-0 up but we did it again letting teams back into the game with lapses of concentration (they didn't even have to work for both goals too) we have to learn to finish teams off ladn not take foot off the pedal, be ruthless eat em if we have too and there it is the match report you've all been waiting for i know, i know its a great match report
see u all next week

Match Report v Blackburn Nation

DATE: 23rd June

Result: 5-1 win versus Blackburn Nation

Match Report by (an old legend!) MOHAMED

Very slow start to the game with opposition unable to
break down the QPT backline and vice
versa and then came the shock.... Mulla (Zuber that is
I think the chubby little fellow!)
ran straight through and scored with a delicate
finish. Yas looked bewildered
as he seemed to stand up waiting for the dink over but
it wasn't to be as the ball
rolled in. The goal sprung the team into life with
Saeed and Usama making some
excellent challenges, Ishy W with a couple of
dribbling attempt but without that final ball
. We were still shot shy until the ball eventually
broke loose to Ebrahim who expertly
drilled the ball in with a low drive. 1-1 and game
on!

Second half was similar with regards to the end
product but plenty of territorial
advantage and we kept possession well, Saeed unlucky
with a couple of goal bound
efforts. Game at stalemate even after Adam coming on
for Ishy W and we play the
ace, enter Ishy Chotia. Lifts the team and even the
supporters after scoring with
an instant snap shot. Nation were rattled after
holding for so long, but there was
worse to come from their perspective. Eby setup Adam
after some fancy footwork and
soon after M Ali came on to hammer home with his first
touch, an excellent half volley
after Chotia laid it off for him. He scored again
with his second touch of the game
to finish the rout and the QPT fans went wild.
"Mohammed Ali flies like a butterfly
and stings like a bee" they were chanting!!!

MOM - Usama again, solid in the tackle (not junglee
but getting there!) and the word
Ussyfutting is out of his vocab now, well done lad!

Media Frenzy

No media frenzy as Yasin not up to anything (and I
couldn't be bothered) I mean come on,
is there no other controversial charachter?!. However,
he was restored with confidence
and handed with Amin's (aka God, legend) keys after
kissing and making up.

Personal Comment-

Each sub scored to justify the gaffer's changes and
shut up the likes of Adam who
were giving him flak last week! Also at times we are
being too fancy when on the ball
with back heels etc especially Saeed/Adam/Ebrahim when
we can play that simple pass.
Let's not take these 'lesser' teams easily and start
off more brightly, and we'll have to next
week against the proper Mullas like we did last year
in the second game when we were 2 up at
half-time. We lost one and won one last year so let's
do the double over our rivals this season!

Match Report v Samba Seven

Date: Fri 16th June

Result: 2-2 versus Samba Sevens

Match report by: Ebrahim

We drew 2-2 against a team that we made to look ordinary whenever we had the ball. The likes of Adam, Saeed and Ishy Wadee played to their strengths and majestically took players on for fun - many times they couldn't cope and simply fouled us.

After I opened the scoring for us again (third time this season!) with a well-worked goal. Fayaz then hit the post and we continued with some slick interplay that is beginning to define this new-age QPT. At half time, I seriously thought we would run away with the game playing like this and the opponents tiring.

Football being football, the 2nd half turned out to be better for them than for us as their No. 4 created some chances on his own and was unlucky to hit the crossbar once. After such scares in defence, a clever free-kick and drive from Saeed led to Fayaz being in the right place at the right time to extend our lead - he is getting more and more accustomed to the pace of the game now as he easily produced his best game so far. Note that he would have played for us last season had an injury not kept him out so, in a sense, he is also trying to catch up with us! (Keep up the good work Fayaz.)

Imediately conceding a goal through a slip from Saeed (correct me if i'm wrong please!) didn't put us off from carving more chances out. However, just like the disappointment of the last game, we weren't ruthless enough in front of goal.

A naive crossfield pass from Usama in the last minute gave them the ball and led to a tap in for the No. 4. The lesson here is to keep the ball as best you can and even if you lose it, not to lose concentration in marking the opponents up. Usama was outstanding again though, as he is a thoroughly consistent performer.

Their second goal came after two quick subs by Yasir to put M Ali and Ishy Chotia on for Adam and I. Like many o fus, I believe that took the solidity out of our passing and retaining of the ball. So maybe substituting just one of Adam and I would have been sufficient as two subs is a third of the outfield, and can disrupt the rigidity and structure of our play. This point would have been made even if we didn't concede that equaliser. Indeed, the subs could have worked in our favour but, again, it is another lesson learnt - this time for the management!

Summary:
I think we should be very proud that we have gone four games into the season and are near/at the top, undefeated. The fact that we are disappointed with drawing shows just how far we have come and are going as a formidable team to be reckoned with.

The positive vibes displayed on the pitch is helping us perform as a unit - it was our trait last season and I don't want that to change just because we are promoted, so keep it up guys. I'm sure everyone would agree that they would play better if encouraged rather than being told off. Another way to help the team is to remember to win the ball back if a team-mate loses it - there is plenty of time to remonstrate with him afterwards. Yasin provided me with this insight (yes, Yasin!) in one of our pre-season friendlies and it does create team spirit.

P.S. Good to see Ishy Chotia getting a Rooney-esque run out, although how we will oust me as the number one striker I do not know...!

MEDIA FRENZY - The Return!
Unhappy defender gets his own back
Yes, our popular news column returns this week with a stunning headline. It seems that defender Yasin Mayat has shockingly expressed his anger after another unused substitute appearance at the last game.

QPT legend Amin Karolia, who has returned as the heart of the defence, claimed a deliberate attempt by Yasin to deter him from the next game. Mayat 'accidentally' lost Karolia's car keys whilst trying to reach for a football in the river at Witton Park during the disappointing draw against Samba Sevens. He stated afterwards, "I was wearing Ebrahim Patel's jacket with Amin's keys in one of the pockets when I realised the keys weren't there after coming out of the river. There was a hole in the pocket so it is definitely not deliberate."

However, in a turn of events, Patel has confirmed that no such hole existed when he gave Mayat the jacket. He said, "I distinctly remember that jacket as being in pristine condition even though I have had it for 7 years now. How a hole could suddenly appear in a quality Nike jacket is somewhat bemusing to me."

It is fair to say that Mayat is running out of patience with his beloved QPT, and may have deliberately lost Karolia's car keys so that he would have to be selected as first choice defender when Karolia is unable to travel to the next game. The frustration of seeing QPT surrender a two-goal lead may have ignited this mischievous act from Mayat, who may well believe that he could have stopped the equaliser had he been on the field.

If the sabotage attempt is found to be true, then Mayat could well have worn the QPT shirt for the last time, as it is the latest in a string of tantrums by the centreback to claim a spot in the first team.

HEADS UP!!!!!

After 4 games we've won 2, drawn 2......8 points - joint top!!! Maybe we should have had 12 points or atleast 10, but great start lads.

I think we all know we need to start off at a much quicker pace and we need to be ruthless in front of goal. Saying that, our football has been a pleasure to watch and we still have our own Rooney (Ish) to come back!

We draw and we're disappointed - says a lot doesnt it!?!? We've come a long way in 1 year - 14 games to go.............

Match Report v Forbes

DATE: 8 June 2006
Score: 1-1

Match Report by Fayaz

This week we started the game better, we created
chances that went begging really, i should have put
them away, but then again its me infront of goal so
understandable, sorry-maybe not. Good one touch
football was also played involving myself eby and
husky lambat which created big problems for forbes as
they just couldnt handle it. Then all of a sudden as
we were finding it easy to knock the ball about, yasir
conceded a goal which i think he can only blame
himself for, thinks he's a center back playing in nets
tried a skill on a player and got caught out and its
1-0 to forbes, Yasir, FUCK SAKE man, no pass available
hoof it out!!!

Saeed started in middle this week and i think he was
abit shaky in the start but that was sorted as the
game went on as he came alive with some good
aggression in second half. Adam came off the bench in
second half and just carried on from last week. with
his silky football he invited an idiot to collect a
blue card for starters in the opening seconds of the
first half, then he exchanged some passes with saeed
and put eby through on goal, as he took his shot the
ball fell in my path, and I put it in, and that was
1-1. At last a goal which was well deserved to the
team for the hard work been put in until then. The
next attack made by us should have also been a
definate goal, brilliant football involving the
midfield players put eby through on goal, he chipped
the keeper and was certain to score knowing his
ability infront of goal but he went for a pass to me
and i thought he went for goal,so a misunderstanding
lead to myself thinking he will finish it and i backed
off and the balln just went inches wide of the post. A
few more attacks created chances and again forbes were
lucky. Another change was made and Ishy Wadee came on
for myself and he done a neat job knowing he Is abit
of a softy, good runs with the ball, and then Usama
came off with an injury and Mali replaced him and
carried on from last week aswell... off he goes
sprinting here there and everywhere, caused problems
at the back for forbes with his cranky runs.

Now defensivley we also had a good game,
interceptions, tackles, positioning, bringing the ball
out was very good buy the pair of em, (Dont worry
about the goal, it wasnt your fault), you have to give
them credit. Impressed with the graft they put in,
well done lads keep up the good work. Lets take this
form into next weeks game and make up for the 2 points
dropped.

Coachin tips.

Keep encouraging your team mates through out the game,
it helps motivation and confidence, less of the
moaning, especially early on in the game, we dont want
team morale going down.

Match Report v FC Broski

DATE: 1 June 2006
5-0 WIN

Match report by Yasir

Team: Zuber, Usama, Amin, Fayaz, Saeed, Adam, Ebrahim
Subs: Mohammed Ali, Ish Wadee, Yasin, Hassan Lambat

Again, a shaky start! Actually, a very shaky start....Zuber had to pull off two good saves in the first ten minutes against a team which we should'nt be having problems with! To be fair to Zuber, he made up for his own mistake for once...and had a super game again, great kicks, great handling, great saves! He's getting the consistency now.

Suddenly, Ebrahim popped out from somewhere and made it 1-0, good shot, good goal. Saeed got in a tangle - blue card (wot a surprise-first blue card to our HUMMER!). What happens next?? Adam rearranges the tactics (yeah we noticed!)...goes on a mazy run, takes one, takes two....oh and whilst im at it...i'll take the keeper as well!!! 2-0!!!!

Second half, on comes Husky for Fayaz. Superb passing goal for the 3rd - Husky-Adam-Ebrahim-Adam...Thats wot this team is all about. Then the "cross-country" runner comes on (M Ali)...presses keeper and Bang 4-0...then 5-0! Our little tazmanian devil!! He could have had 4 in ten mins! We could have had more...but to be fair to them, they didnt deserve to lose by 5. Oh yeah...a superb 5minute cameo by koeman as well-YASIN!!

Also, good to see a lot of encouraging and very little moaning and whinging! Thats how it should be...

Thats the good stuff done! We defend as openly as we did yesterday and we will lose against FC Audley and Forbes, its as simple as that. We are letting players past too easily...either tackle them or put them off (as ussy did to rash in first half!). Also, too many players are getting tired within ten mins of playing....its up to you to play during the week and keep fit!! We might be a young team but not that young anymore!!!

Finally, i think our QUIET men at the back need some praise. They kept going and going. And Ussy was fantastic...great reading of the game - keep it up lad! Saeed - Super Hummer! (yes we do appreciate you!) Ebrahim - Captain marvel...did his business! Fayaz-keep going...decent first half but can be much better.

NEXT THURSDAY: FORBES

Massive game - arrive ten mins early, can get warmed up properly!

(PS Adam mentioned how comments shouldn't be made anonymously!)
