QPT PLAYER CAM (Ratings) -

GK - Zuber 6 - Was unfortunate with most of the goals and often left stranded, not the easiest nights for a goalie and to be honest didn’t do much wrong.

CEN BK - Usama 7 - Played well generally apart from the goal when the striker ran across to score, blasted the 5th goal in for QPT.

CEN BK - Nakhuda - Up to you guys to rate me but I thought I had an average game, tried to contain the big fella and didn’t give much away…apart from when I slipped aaaarghh that hurts, sorry guys that’s a big cock up and it won’t happen again.

CEN MID - Adam Desai 6 - Often frustrated at having to cover different positions which led to a lack of opportunities going forward. Average game to Adam’s high standards.

RIGHT MID - Hasan Lambat 8 - Absolutely outstanding in all departments in second half, funny thing was, he got the goals whilst asking to be subbed off!

LEFT MID - Amin 5 - Seemed to be lost and isolated on the wing, with little support and missed a couple of chances, poor game for the ‘God’.

STRIKER - Chotia 8 - Not as clinical as usual but still managed a brace, needs to press further up the field (Alan Smith style!!)

Subs

RIGHT MID - Saeed 6 - Replaced Husky in second half and showed some fire with a couple of junglee challenges, that’s what I like to see! Not much time to make too much of an impact.

LEFT MID - Saifullah 8 - Came on for Amin at half time and changed the face of the game with some excellent interceptions and dribbling, brilliant debut

CENTRE HALF - Yasin – Didn’t manage to get on but didn’t complain, encouraged the team on as always.

Match Summary

There was so much optimism initially, especially before the match, but we seemed to be in party mood. This is something which cannot be tolerated and we didn't even have a decent match ball. I don't know if this can be excused for our first half performance but we started ok (and that's all it was, just OK). Not good enough for us and our high standards but we were holding strong until the goals started leaking. Most of them (apart from my mistake where I slipped and hold my hands up for not clearing it) were well worked but even still we should be pressing further up the field and if they do penetrate picking up the runners. The other issues are more mental, talking and aggression, something we have addressed in the past. I'm not going to go on because we all know where we went wrong so let's look at the positives.

A SUPERB second half, Saifullah fiery on his debut and some excellent goals by Hasan Lambat, Ismail Chotia and that cracking equaliser by Usama. We know what we're capable of and winning 5-1 in the second half showed just that. We also hit the woodwork twice in the first half so offensively we had a good game. I know how much the 6th goal hurt but that's life, let's get on with it.

MEDIA FRENZY -

Adam/Saeed exit confirmed and Nakhuda suicide attempt!

There were shocking scenes outside the QPT ArenA last night after rumours circulated with regards to the impending departure of Adam Desai (aka Desinho), fans were burning flags and throwing beer glasses/bottles at the team bus and directors. Adam’s agent Ahmed D claims he has played the last game for the club due to personal reasons and due to other commercial ventures. The news infuriated fans outside the club megastore who were claiming refunds for the popular Brazilian’s shirt, a representative from the supporters’ club proclaimed “It’s a bloody farce I tell ya, we pay good money for this stuff and this is what we get in return – we demand a full boycott of all official club merchandise”. The club are yet to make a formal statement but have only in the past week brushed off similar claims for season ticket refunds at the news of Saeed Wadee leaving the club. Mr Wadee was on the bench due to lack of fitness but as with Mr Desai rumours are strife that the issue is with the competition of places now that Saifullah Firfire has joined the club. Watch this space for progress on this story….

The trouble doesn’t stop there, QPT braveheart and veteran defender M Nakhuda was allegedly questioned by police yesterday after a suicide attempt after the match vs Havelock . He was stopped from slitting his wrists and had apparently researched the correct manner in which to do this, police found printouts in the dressing room and it is officially a crime scene. Media frenzy understands the attempt was made after the mistake which contributed to the 3rd Havelock and cemented the 1st half demolition, he is in Blackburn Royal Hospital comforted by nurses.
